Darlene Adams, Director of Operations
Darlene’s work life before Parkview was spent as the director of a Widows Ministry in Virginia. After holding this position for eight years the youngest of her three daughters left for college and she moved to Knoxville. She began working for Parkview in 2009 as a weekend manager. Her dedication, attention to detail and caring heart ensured her promotion to Director of Operations where her role as a servant leader continues to inspire us all. Her goal for Parkview Retirement Communities is to provide the very best family environment so that our residents may proudly call it their home.
Becca Sparks, Activity Director
Becca was born and raised in Knoxville. She attended David Lipscomb University in Nashville and married her high school sweetheart in 2009. They followed a career in the Air Force to Georgia, Texas and South Carolina. Upon the birth of their fourth child they decided to return home to Knoxville where she accepted the position of Activity Director at our Broome Road property. She is a nurturer and brings excitement and loving commitment to our Parkview family. When she isn’t working or sharing the everyday wonder of two boys and two girls (all under the age of 10!) she enjoys cooking, running and working out.
Frederick Berthonnaud, Executive Chef
Frederick called New Orleans, Louisiana home in his youth. He graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1988 and the Delgado School of Culinary Arts in 1997. He apprenticed in several New Orleans restaurants including Brennan’s and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. He has worked as a Chef in upscale retirement communities for 10 years before moving to Knoxville to marry his college sweetheart. His experience, caring nature and love for all that is food combine to create the perfect combination required to lead our commitment to culinary excellence.
Kellee Horner, Director of Operations
Kellee Horner joined our Parkview family in 2016 as Activity Director and immediately began to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents. Her energetic leadership and caring influence resulted in her elevation to Director of Operations Maryville. Her past experiences and actions have led her to the area of work in which she truly belongs, senior care. Kellee lives a mission based lifestyle that moves through everything she does. She holds a genuine respect and appreciation for the wonderful things that seniors bring to our world. Parkview residents are proud to call her their friend. She has two married daughters and a furry roommate named Carley.
Greg Gross, Executive Chef
Greg Gross opened our Maryville location as Head Chef and has never looked back. His devotion to cooking and family came from his mother’s example. He found his passion early and has continued to pursue it for over 30 years. He has numerous certifications from the American Culinary Federation but his happiest rewards come from our Parkview residents rave reviews. He has traveled the country with various artists bringing the same refined home cooked experience to them as he brings to our kitchen. Greg sees Parkview as family and enjoys serving and connecting with our residents every day. With five children and three grandchildren, Greg and his wife Destiny, have found the perfect community for themselves in Maryville. Greg is a true family man who loves his job, his friends and a good cigar.
Ashleigh Carter, Activity Director
Ashleigh began working at Parkview as part of the Resident Services team in 2017. She soon became Weekend Manager and her dedication and natural fit for the position have led her to Activity Director. She was raised in Maryville, Tennessee, and as a mother of two, spent years volunteering at her children’s school and church functions. Much of her inspiration for her job comes from a love of crafting and event planning and her time spent with her husband David hiking and enjoying nature. She has worked as a restaurant front-end manager, a back-of-house theater manager, and even a truck driver! She brings her enthusiasm for new experiences and her love for the residents into everything she does here at Parkview.
