Parkview West Knoxville (770 Broome Road)
Darlene Adams, Director of Operations
Darlene’s work life before Parkview was spent as the director of a Widows Ministry in Virginia. After holding this position for eight years the youngest of her three daughters left for college and she moved to Knoxville. She began working for Parkview in 2009 as a weekend manager. Her dedication, attention to detail and caring heart ensured her promotion to Director of Operations where her role as a servant leader continues to inspire us all. Her goal for the Parkview Senior Living communities is to provide the very best family environment so that our residents may proudly call it their home.
Nikki Smith, Activity Director
Nikki was born and raised in Winona, Minnesota. where her family still resides including her three children and two grandchildren. In 2012 Nikki began teaching fitness classes in retirement communities, assisted living, and nursing homes after moving to Sarasota, Florida. She then moved to Knoxville in 2022 and joined Parkview in 2023. Making the best of our time and our abilities is important to Nikki and whatever joy she can bring to someone is what she wants to do. When she is not here at Parkview you can find her teaching at the YMCA, or out exploring East Tennessee.
Frederick Berthonnaud, Executive Chef
Frederick called New Orleans, Louisiana home in his youth. He graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1988 and the Delgado School of Culinary Arts in 1997. He apprenticed in several New Orleans restaurants including Brennan’s and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. He has worked as a Chef in upscale retirement communities for 10 years before moving to Knoxville to marry his college sweetheart. His experience, caring nature and love for all that is food combine to create the perfect combination required to lead our commitment to culinary excellence.
Parkview North Knoxville (975 E. Emory Road)
Samantha Beals, Director of Operations
Samantha grew up in East Tennessee and earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from Tennessee Tech. She lives in North Knoxville with her husband Eric and her 15 year old daughter, Erica. She found her calling in Elder Care and has spent the last decade working with and caring for our older population. Quality of life is important to Samantha both personally and professionally. Helping our residents live their best life is her everyday commitment. She loves the outdoors, being active in our community and her church. We are blessed and very appreciative to have her as a part of our leadership team at Parkview.
Holly White, Marketing Director
Holly grew up in East Tennessee and earned her bachelor’s in healthcare administration and management from East Tennessee State University. She lives in North Knoxville with her husband Travis and her 13 year old daughter, Lucy. She found her calling in Senior Care when she became a caregiver for her grandma and has spent the last decade working with and caring for our older population. Relationships are important to Holly both personally and professionally. She loves to connect others with resources to help care for their loved ones. She is actively involved in her church and community. If she is not at work, you can find Holly at the lake enjoying life with her friends and family.
Trish Jimison, Activity Director
Trish was born in the Philippines and moved to East Tennessee at age 16. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education from UT Chattanooga. She has over 10 years of senior living activities experience. She is also a certified Activities Director. Trish is happily married to her husband Tyler for three years and they have two dogs, Pepper and Kingsley. They enjoy traveling to West Virginia and Chattanooga to spend time with family.
Parkview Maryville (1413 West Broadway)
Katelyn Bray, CTRS, CDP, Director of Operations
Katelyn was born and raised in East Tennessee. She has been working with seniors for over ten years in various roles including dietary, recreation, caregiving, and leadership. She graduated from the UT Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is a Certified Recreational Therapist as well as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Katelyn has been married since 2015 to her husband, Dusty, and they have four fur babies. She enjoys spending time outside of work with family and friends. Katelyn is excited to be a part of the Parkview family.
Dawn Myers, Activities Director
Dawn was born and raised in Oswego, New York. Dawn has an Associate degree in Education. Before moving to Tennessee, Dawn held various positions from Preschool Teacher, Business owner, Daycare Provider, Children’s Librarian, Adult Programming and Library Director. After previously working with all ages along her career, Dawn has found a passion for working with seniors.
Greg Gross, Executive Chef
Greg Gross opened our Maryville location as Head Chef and has never looked back. His devotion to cooking and family came from his mother’s example. He found his passion early and has continued to pursue it for over 30 years. He has numerous certifications from the American Culinary Federation but his happiest rewards come from our Parkview residents rave reviews. He has traveled the country with various artists bringing the same refined home cooked experience to them as he brings to our kitchen. Greg sees Parkview as family and enjoys serving and connecting with our residents every day. With five children and three grandchildren, Greg and his wife Destiny, have found the perfect community for themselves in Maryville. Greg is a true family man who loves his job, his friends and a good cigar.
Parkview Tullahoma (1601 Cedar Lane)
Jenny Comstock, Director of Operations
Jenny Comstock moved to the Coffee County area in 2002 where she pursued her career as a long-term care nurse. Her love and dedication to our seniors is what brought her to the role of Director at the Parkview Tullahoma location. She is the mother of two daughters. When she is not at work, she spends her time camping in the mountains.
Shannon Stephenson, Activity Director
Shannon Stephenson moved to Tennessee from Texas in 1995 and fell in love with this great state. She lives her life with a servants mentality which guides her both on and off the job. Shannon has been involved in elder care her entire career including behavioral health, nursing homes and in-home care services. Her vast experience, coupled with her love of all people, positions her perfectly to lead our activity programs at Parkview; and she is valued by our team as a leader and a person. Shannon lives in Tullahoma with her husband Joe and their three daughters.
Brian Patterson, Chef
Brian is a local Tullahoma native and has spent over 30 years in the food industry. His passion for cooking started at the age of 10 when his parents started him cooking for his family. His devotion for the culinary arts led him to his degree from UT Knoxville for Hotel and restaurant administration. From there Brian went on to Catering and owning his own restaurant. Brian joined Parkview in 2021 and loves working with and serving our residents. IN his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping and being outdoors.
